A fictional research team announced Thursday that the moon is made primarily of carefully aged cheese, ending a debate that no actual astronomer was having.
Researchers at the imaginary Institute for Extremely Specific Studies said their findings were based on a telescope, a tasting note and “a hunch with excellent provenance.” The study has not been submitted to any real journal.
